Dr. Alarcon obtained her Bachelor of Science in Zoology at California State University in Long Beach and her DDS from CASE Western School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed a year in postgrad dental education in General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center in West Los Angeles. During her 26 years in practice she has been involved in community dentistry, especially in the delivery of dental care to the Hispanic Community in Los Angeles. She has written numerous articles in oral health for the largest Spanish newspaper in Los Angeles ¿La Opinion¿, ¿ Vida Nueva¿ and ¿Contacto Magazine¿. Until recently, she held a radio talk show on oral health in major Spanish radio stations in Los Angeles.
