    Maria Fahie, DVM, MS, DACVS

    Dr. Fahie was born and raised in eastern Canada. She graduated from Atlantic Veterinary College in 1992. She completed her advanced training in small animal surgery at VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996, including obtaining her MS degree in reconstructive surgery.She has a broad base of veterinary surgical experience including soft tissue, oncologic, neurologic, reconstructive and orthopedic procedures. Dr. Fahie joined Western University of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine as a founding faculty member in 2002, and is now a Professor in Small Animal Surgery. She is currently the course leader of the 4thyear small animal core surgery course and instructor in the 3rdyear surgery/anesthesia course. Dr. Fahie has recently published clinical and educational research studies:
