Hailing from the heart of Mississippi, I embarked on a journey that led me from my initial dream of becoming an equine veterinarian to a profound love for small animal emergency medicine. A transformative summer undergraduate internship exposed me to the fast-paced world of Emergency and Critical Care (ECC), and there was no turning back. In pursuit of my passion, I ventured from the charming landscapes of Mississippi to the golden state of California to attend veterinary school. The high standard of veterinary care in California not only provided an exceptional education but also fostered a new home-base for me to continuously grow as a veterinarian. Throughout my journey, I discovered immense joy in mentoring pre-vet and current vet students. It has been a longstanding aspiration to contribute to the academic community, and joining the faculty at a veterinary college is the realization of that dream.
