Dear SWAGÊÓƵ Community,

It is with mixed emotions that I share with you that Terri Tibbs is leaving her position as Chief Human Resources Officer to pursue other opportunities after the winter break, near mid-January. However, Terri has graciously agreed to remain as long as needed to ensure a seamless transition in leadership.

As many of you know, Terri Tibbs was hired in April 2023 as the inaugural Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). On behalf of SWAGÊÓƵ, I wish to express eternal gratitude to Terri for her extraordinary leadership over this past year. Terri’s steady leadership and effective leadership style provided stability to the Office, permitting the Human Resources Office to function at a high level commensurate with other mature universities.

Please join me in wishing Terri and her family well.

Shairon Zingsheim, our former interim CHRO, has graciously agreed to rejoin SWAGÊÓƵ as Interim CHRO while the University expeditiously identifies and hires a permanent CHRO. Shairon and Terri were instrumental in establishing a highly functional and mature Office of HR. In the recent WSCUC visit, Terri and Shairon’s successes with HR were commended.

In my recent conversations, both Shairon and Terri graciously agreed to work together to ensure a smooth and effective transition. The University wishes to convey immense appreciation for the consistency in leadership that the University enjoys thanks to Terri and Shairon.
