MSPAS Accreditation Update
President’s Office
April 10, 2024
Dear Esteemed Members of the SWAGÊÓƵ Community,
I hope this message finds you all in high spirits and good health.
I am thrilled to share some positive news regarding our Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS) program. On March 28, 2024, we received a significant update from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA), and it brings me immense joy to announce that our MSPAS program has been granted approval to matriculate the Fall 2024 cohort.
This decision marks a milestone in the accreditation for our program and reflects the dedication and hard work of our entire community. It is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence and our pursuit of providing the highest quality education to our students.
While we celebrate this opportunity to welcome this next cohort, it is essential to acknowledge that we are currently on Accreditation-Probation status. However, let me assure you that this status does not diminish the exceptional quality of education that our program offers, and we remain fully accredited by ARC-PA.
As we move forward, we are steadfast in our commitment to addressing the areas that we do not align with ARC-PA’s needs. We will work tirelessly to ensure that our program not only meets but exceeds the Accreditation Standards for Physician Assistant Education at the upcoming focused site visit on September 30 and October 1. We look forward to returning to a Continuing status upon the decision of the next ARC-PA meeting in March 2025.
To facilitate clear communication and transparency, I encourage you to review the attached document, MSPAS Accreditation Key Information, for further details. Additionally, please do not hesitate to reach out to the designated contacts if you have any questions, or if you receive inquiries beyond your ability to answer from the information in the attachment.
I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and dedication to SWAGÊÓƵ and our MSPAS program. Together, we have achieved a remarkable milestone, and I am confident we will continue to thrive as we transform our institution for the betterment of students and patients.
Thank you for your continued commitment and enthusiasm.
Warmest regards,
Robin
