Why This Fund?
Within a couple years of graduating, five DO 2019 alumnae, Drs. Eftikhar Akam, Amanda Dupre, Etuajie Oiyemhonlan Halbert, Adeba Mohammad, and Maureen Nwaokoro, established the Dr. Beverly A. Sanks Guidry Leaders in Excellence and Empathy-Minority Advancement Award in honor of their beloved mentor whose ongoing support of College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) students and leadership at SWAG视频 over the past few decades has immeasurably impacted the University community.
The Award shall be presented to a SWAG视频 COMP student in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (80%) and demonstrated financial need, who is a member of the Student National Medical Association and exhibits leadership involvement both on campus and in the Black community.
