Why This Fund?

The Satterfield CPM Honors Day endowment was created to honor Dr. Satterfield and the commitment she made to the profession of podiatric medicine and to podiatric medical students. Contributions to the endowment will be used to fund the cost of celebrating CPM students’ accomplishments during the annual Satterfield CPM Honors Day ceremony.

About Dr. Satterfield

Western University of Health Sciences College of Podiatric Medicine (SWAGÊÓƵ CPM) has gone from humble beginnings in 2009 to becoming fully accredited in 2013 and, under the leadership of Dr. Kathleen Satterfield, has continued to reach new heights. The College of Podiatric Medicine has expanded locally and abroad thanks to the legacy of leadership left by Dr. Satterfield.

Despite the many accomplishments, however, nothing was more important to Dr. Satterfield than the relationships she developed with our students and the continued relationships with our alumni. This is evidenced by her countless hours working to strengthen connections with CPM alumni and by her pride when announcing our student, alumni, staff and faculty achievements – no matter how big or small they were. Most of all, she enjoyed recognizing the recipient of the scholarship she endowed honoring her mentor and all of our students who received awards during our annual Honor’s Day ceremony.
