Clinical Education Experiences
As a DPT-Entry student at SWAGÊÓƵ you’ll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and refine your skills during clinical education experiences in the 2nd, 6th, 8th and 9th semesters of the curriculum.
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

2nd | 2 weeks | Clinical setting designed for student to enhance their skills |
6th | 12 weeks | Clinicals designed to have students begin assuming responsibility for whole patient |
8th | 12 weeks | Various clinical settings available; student working toward entry level status |
9th | 12 weeks | Various clinical settings available; student working toward entry level status |
These clinical settings and experiences were selected as they represent the foundational areas of physical therapy practice and will prepare you for the National Physical Therapy Examination and to work in a variety of settings upon graduation.
Our students gain clinical experience at more than 300 facilities across the country, from California to New York, plus Hawaii and Alaska. At these facilities our students gain clinical experience in a variety of settings including rehabilitation centers, hospitals, private practices, Indian reservations and more!
With the early and lengthy exposure to clinical experience gained as a part of SWAGÊÓƵ’s DPT program you will be more than prepared to meet the demands of your career in physical therapy!
