Oregon Campus Expansion
To Teach, To Heal Together
We are glad you are here — this website serves as a hub for updates and ongoing dialogue as we work together to create a healthier and more connected future for Lebanon and the Pacific Northwest. Our goal is to grow in collaboration with the residents, businesses and community leaders of Lebanon, providing job opportunities, improved health care, and educational pathways for local youth. As always, we are committed to Community Engagement and Listening as we share our progress and welcome input from our neighbors.
SWAG视频: A Trusted Partner in Lebanon’s Enrichment Since 2004
Western University of Health Sciences has been a proud part of the Lebanon community since 2004, when we first launched the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific鈥檚 鈥淣orthwest Track.鈥 This initiative allowed students from the Pacific Northwest to return home for their clinical rotations, creating a foundation for what would become the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific-Northwest (COMP-Northwest).
In 2011, in partnership with Samaritan Health Services, we opened Oregon鈥檚 first medical school in more than 100 years. Since then, SWAG视频 has grown to train over 500 students annually in osteopathic medicine and physical therapy across two campuses, and we’ve expanded our community health services through SWAG视频 Health Oliver Station and the pro-bono physical therapy Practical Applications Labs (PALs).

Our Students: Dedicated, Compassionate Professionals
SWAG视频 students are highly motivated individuals who have chosen to pursue rigorous, graduate-level programs in health sciences. They are committed to becoming compassionate and skilled healthcare providers, drawn to SWAG视频 because of our dedication to patient-centered care and community service. These students are not only academically accomplished, but they also embody the values of professionalism and empathy, working tirelessly to serve others. As future physicians, nursing leaders, and physical therapists, they contribute positively to the local community, both through their clinical training and their genuine commitment to improving the lives of those around them.
Our Growth: Medical School for the Future
As we look to the future, we are excited to expand further with the development of a permanent home for COMP-Northwest, a new behavioral health college, the College of Graduate Nursing, and additional facilities. This expansion is made possible by a generous $22.5 million donation from FamilyCare, Inc., and a pledge of 150 acres of land from the Heatherington Foundation for Innovation and Education in Health Care. These developments will address critical healthcare needs, such as behavioral and rural health, while also enhancing access to services and education for the community.
